Nebo, NC — Nebo is an unincorporated community in the Nebo Township of eastern McDowell County, North Carolina.
Deep in the North Carolina woods is where you might expect an Ewok to pop up at any moment, so it’s the perfect spot where our longtime friends and clients, Nelson Treehouse, to build a 1,000-square-foot treehouse inspired by Star Wars‘ Millennium Falcon.

The property owners wanted an inspired by the Millennium Falcon, not a replica of it and hired Treehouse Masters star—and builder extraordinaire—Pete Nelson to design the house, and initially, an homage to the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy ” wasn’t part of their master vision. Pete Nelson is an American master treehouse builder, author and since 2013, host of the Animal Planet television show Treehouse Masters.

Every single beam of The Millennium Falcon treehouse was measured and cut by hand Nelson Treehouse. It is truly amazing. Surprisingly, Pete’s team completed the house in roughly three months. Their treehouses inspire the world and recently Media Northeast documented the building of The Woods, Maine in nearby Norway, Maine throughout the Summer of 2019.
